March 2013 Junior’s Junction Newsletter

In Like a Lion, Out like a Lamb!

As we turn from winter to spring, it is important to keep in mind that Texas weather can change on a dime.

Spring Showers can turn into severe thunder storms and tornadoes without warning.

At Junior’s Junction we practice severe weather drills with our children so they will be safe if the need arises.

It is good practice to designate a safe room in your house where everyone can gather in case of a severe storm.

Along with practicing gathering in your safe room it is a good idea to have the following supplies on hand;

  •  waterSevere Weather Tornado
  • working flash light
  • extra batteries
  • a battery powered radio
  • warm blankets
  • your cell phone
  • some snack items
  • extra baby supplies
  • planned activities to keep kids minds and hands busy
